A little bit of life, a little bit of mess, but all of it is real.
Hi! I’m glad you’re here!!!
Most mornings start with shoes on, preworkout downed, and miles on the road (actually treadmill…I’m a scaredy cat and not running in the early dark morning). I’m up and moving around long before the house is up. But, as soon as the boys are awake, someone is asking me a question or talking a million miles a minute.
Hi, I’m Lida
The human behind Chaos in the Backyard.
I’m a mom of two boys, a wife, a teacher, and someone currently trying to balance life, a husband, kids, animals, and early morning marathon training without losing the plot.
Our home is full of chaos in every direction:
– Animals who always keep me on my toes
– Two boys who live for sports, dirt, and movement
– An amazing husband who can fix anything and somehow gets pulled into every new project or idea that pops in my brain
– and me…trying it keep it all together and moving
It’s messy, loud, and constantly in motion.
What this space is…
This isn’t about perfection or having things figured out.
It’s just a place where I write down real life, meals that work (and the ones that don’t), routines that barely hold together, homestead progress, sports chaos, and small moments that matter more than they look like they should.
Nothing fancy. Nothing curated. Just life.
If your life feels full, loud, messy, or like you’re constantly in motion, then you’re in the right place.
